For all tattoos and piercings, avoid swimming or submerging your modification in the first 3 months as well as prolonged exposure in the sun.
Derm-Shield:
This second skin is used to protect the open skin of your tattoo from infection for the first 2-4 days. You are able to shower and sleep with this covering on, but avoid submerging or swimming in water. Gently remove this bandage under lukewarm running water and wash with an antibacterial, and unscented soap (Dial, Dove, or soap given at your appointment). It is normal for there to be some fluid build up from excess ink, plasma, and blood underneath the second skin. Once the second skin is removed, and the tattoo is cleaned, pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel and apply a small amount of unscented water based moisturizer (Cera Ve, Lubiderm, Aveeno). Continue to clean the tattoo twice a day, or if it becomes dirty. Apply a pea sized amount of the unscented moisturizer when your tattoo feels dry or itchy. After two weeks your skin will be healed and fully protected form infection. However, it takes a good few months for the ink to completely settle in your skin.
Saran Wrap:
Most commonly used aftercare method is saran/plastic wrap. This covering should remain secure on your tattoo for 1-3 hours after leaving the studio. In some situations, your artist will instruct you to leave this covering on overnight. For the first 3 nights, cover the area in plastic wrap before going to bed and remove it in the morning. Lightly rinse under lukewarm water with antibacterial and unscented soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel and apply a small amount of unscented moisturizer. Allow the tattoo to air dry.

Every piercing experiences different healing times, and some piercings require more time than others. After getting your piercing and leaving the studio the most important step you can take to ensure a smooth healing process is to NOT TOUCH YOUR PIERCING! Sorry for yelling, but this is CRUCIAL. Our hands are very dirty, and touching a fresh piercing can lead to an infection. With that out of the way, you want to use a sterile saline spray to clean your piercing once in the morning, once before you go to bed, and at any point it gets dirty. Spray the solution on both entry/exit points for 3 seconds. This will help loosen any dried blood or plasma that will create small ‘crusties’ on your piercing. It is important to remove all of these bits off the jewelry as well as around the piercing so the jewelry can move with ease. Be very mindful to be gentle when using a q-tip to remove the gunk. It is possible for some cotton to get stuck on a sharp bit of dried fluid which can lead to infection. Always discuss healing process and healing time with your piercer, as well as when to downsize your jewelry.
Avoid sleeping on your fresh piercing, submerging it in water, twisting the jewelry, and using any alcohols or soaps on the open channel.

Infections can be caused in tattoos and piercings through the aftercare process. Some flags to identify an infection are redness, constant soreness or pain, a yellow or green puss, or a burning sensation. Your body will tell you when something is wrong, so listen to it. To heal an infection, discuss with your artist your aftercare process and receive steps on how to heal it. It may be a change in product you use, or an extra step in your cleaning process.

The cost of a tattoo will depend on the size, placement, and design you are looking to get. Depending on your budget, you and your artist can create something that works for both of you! We do require a non refundable deposit of $100 to save your appointment in the calendar. This deposit does go towards the final cost of your piece.
Piercing prices differ depending on the location, and jewelry chosen.
